“POPIA” means the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, including any regulations or codes of conduct promulgated under it;

“process” or “processing” means, in relation to personal information, any operation or activity concerning personal information, including the collection, receipt, recording, organisation, storage, updating, use, sharing, transfer, restriction, erasure or destruction of that information;

“special personal information” means the religious or philosophical beliefs, race or ethnic origin, trade union membership, political persuasion, health, sex life or biometric information of a user, and may include criminal behaviour of a user where applicable;

“services” means the services provided to any user by JenileePR (Pty) Ltd;

“user” means a visitor or user of this website, or any person using the services of JenileePR (Pty) Ltd; and

“the website” means the website of JenileePR (Pty) Ltd.

Any reference in this Privacy Policy to:

  • the singular includes the plural and the other way around;

The user acknowledges that personal information may be transferred outside South Africa where required for storage, hosting, email, website, cloud, social media, analytics or related digital services.

Where Afrihost or another service provider uses systems, infrastructure or service providers outside South Africa, personal information may be processed outside South Africa in accordance with the relevant provider’s terms, privacy policy and applicable law.

JenileePR (Pty) Ltd will take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfer is lawful where required by POPIA.

  1. Retention of Information

JenileePR (Pty) Ltd may keep records of a user’s personal information for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, unless the user objects and JenileePR (Pty) Ltd is not lawfully entitled or obliged to retain the information.

JenileePR (Pty) Ltd may retain personal information where required for legal, tax, accounting, contractual, service, website, hosting, support or recordkeeping purposes.

  1. Returning, Destroying or Deleting Personal Information

Where JenileePR (Pty) Ltd is no longer authorised or required to retain a record of any personal information, it shall either:
